La Ocho:
This will be a one-of-a-kind 180-meter long, figure-8 dirt track with an over/under crossing in the middle. Registration is limited to 244 riders, and is open only to racers registered for the CMWC. More race details will be announced at as they become available.
Bike Polo Tournament:
With 3 riders to a team, this will be a grueling 3-day tournament on 2 separate courts. A third court will be open and available for practice and pick-up games. Standard Bike Polo rules will be used. The first 2 days of the tournament will see teams each playing at least 10 games against one another to determine ranking, with the top 16 teams advancing to the Finals on day 3. In the Finals, teams will face off in best-of-three series', with the winners advancing to the next round.

Gold Sprints:
Riders on stationary bikes race against each other in short, sprint matches. The stationary bikes are attached to a device that measures distance and speed, and can display the progress of the riders. During the Qualification round, each rider is invited to post a time. The fastest 32 men and 8 women will advance to the head-to-head elimination heats.
Grand Premio de Guatemala:
This event is a 24-kilometer uphill time trial, and will serve as a way for contestants to earn one of the 100 free spots to CMWC. This event is free to participate in and open to anybody, however only locals may win the free registration spots.
